Meg has a background in media and marketing as well as a stint in the world of home shopping as a morning host on JTV. She left television a few short years ago to pursue her own candle collection and boutique gift shop full time.
Always having an entrepreneurial spirit, Meg had visions of owning her own business. She never imagined her niche would be in creating inspiring scents for many to enjoy in their homes. What started as a Thursday night crafting hobby with her husband soon turned into a business venture that has expanded over the years. The Family Tree Candle Company brand prides itself on hand-poured quality and thoughtful touches of southern charm.
It is the Family Tree mission to create an outstanding quality product, only utilizing the best vegetable derivative soy waxes, cotton wicks and candle fragrances infused with essential oils. As a self-proclaimed home decor junky, she also believes in all things "pretty," making each candle a beautiful display as well as fragrance.
Launching the "Candles For A Cause" mission a few years ago has given the candles a new meaning in giving back. This concept has evolved into "Smell good. Do Good.," which launched in August of 2022 with celebrity endorsed candles that give back to national organizations.
